How to use the template:
Print on plain paper and have each student write in the “Sum”. I have them write in the numbers 1-20 and then choose four numbers to write twice to fill in all the spaces. They can only cover the sum one at a time. I use erasers (the fun ones from Target) or unifix cubes to cover the numbers as we play. We usually play several rounds.
(OR) Print on cardstock and laminate. Use a dry erase marker to fill in the numbers. Game board is reusable.
I teach second grade and we teach doubles facts and near doubles facts so as I’m calling out facts I might say “4+4 is a doubles fact, please cover your answer/sum”.
We played today, and they loved it! Fun math fact review, and great review of vocabulary as you play.
Enjoy! - Ann
