This game of BINGO is a game to practice reading/spelling words with the CVC and VCe patterns. Words include those with short vowels (CVC) and long vowels (VCe). It will give students practice differentiating between the vowel sounds present in CVC and VCe words. This game can be played with two students or with a whole class.
I originally created this game to be played with a student during a tutoring session but it can easily be played with a whole class. Three versions of the BINGO board are included in this product.
If your class is not independent yet, partner students up for the game.
Directions: (1) Students receive one of the 3 BINGO boards and 25 counters. (2) Students place a counter on the free space. (3) The teacher cuts out all the BINGO Cards and pulls and reads one from the pile. (4) Students place a counter on the word if they have it on their board. (5) The first student to have 5 counters in a row (up and down, across, or diagonal) says BINGO and wins the game.
