Product Description
{Note: this activity is meant to fit the Ontario Science Curriculum for grade one, but may align with other curriculums as well.}

With this BINGO! Les Animaux Marins set, students will make their own personal BINGO cards using themed vocabulary. Bingo is a fun way to review vocabulary, but by having students make their own card, it becomes more meaningful to them and also adds a third instance of vocabulary review: reading the words to make their Bingo card, colouring the images, and then reading the words again as they play Bingo!

There are 20 vocabulary words on illustrated cards, which are used as calling cards and also as the vocabulary cards for making the BINGO playing cards.

Instructions for use:
• Print the first page (20 vocabulary cards) and cut into squares to use as calling cards during the Bingo game
• Provide each student with one copy of the vocabulary cards and one blank Bingo card (3x3 or 4x4).
• Students will cut up their vocabulary page, and then select vocabulary words to glue onto their Bingo card in random order. They can then colour, and finally, play Bingo!

The 3x3 cards can be played as whole-card Bingo (better for earlier in the year, as it won’t overwhelm students with many vocabulary words & images), and the 4x4 cards can be played with “Bingo!” being a straight line of 4, a diagonal line, an X, or a box (all 12 outer squares).

Amusez-vous! :)
