PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Black History Month is February! This bundle highlights American stories of famous, brave, respected, and accomplished heroes. Explore Martin Luther King, Jr., Maya Angelou, Rosa Parks, Jackie Robinson, Barack Obama, and Michelle Obama. Your students will engage in reading the biographies, writing textual evidence, webquest, speech analysis, poetry, and growth mindset activities. Skills reinforced are using textual evidence, inference, and analysis.

Michelle Obama includes:
★Non-fiction questions (Michelle Obama's early years, career, road to the White House, her role as first lady, and her causes)
- Writing textual evidence
★Webquest (links provided. You can print the articles, access using technology, or come up with your own texts to support the activity.
★Growth mindset activity -textual evidence

This activity can be used any time of the year. Great for Black History Month and Women's History Month. It can be accomplished in 1-2 class periods; follow-up activities would extend the activity.
