These number posters are inspired by something I saw on a blog somewhere, of something done in Europe. They are very Montessori - the pictures are things found in the natural world, and the mathematical emphasis of the pictures is to help children to "see" groups of numbers in their minds, and to gain a solid understanding of place value. I made them to help my students understand composing/decomposing numbers for the first grade Common Core.
21 number posters (0-21)
0-10 have a picture on top, numeral, number word, and unit blocks.
11-20 have numeral, number word, and rods/blocks. The tens are red, and ones are blue.
