This BOGGLE Game PowerPoint includes 30 regular BOGGLE slides (4x4) and 5 Super BOGGLE slides (5x5). The BOGGLE boards included on the slides are photographs of real BOGGLE games. I put together each BOGGLE game in order to guarantee that each game includes plenty of words of various lengths. The slides also include animated clip art as well as a point list for students to use to keep track of how many points they earn for each word. Each BOGGLE board is numbered so that I can collect the assignment at the end of the week and keep track of which BOGGLE game they have completed.
I use this as a bell ringer or warm up activity once a week. Students who make it to class early have extra time to look for words. Students aren't tardy on Mondays :) Students list their words on a BOGGLE worksheet that I have available for FREE.
When time is called, I draw the names of two or three students and have them share the words they found. The entire class must cross these words off of their lists and forfeit those points. Sometimes I give extra points or prizes to students who can beat the teacher. As we begin learning parts of speech, students can earn a bonus point for any verb (or applicable part of speech) they find.
This is a great class game for spelling and vocabulary.
