There are 96 picture cards and 48 game card sheets included in this HUGE game set. There are also blank game card templates (with 4 and 8 game cards per sheet).
Setting up each round
Print, cut and laminate picture cards. Print multiple copies of the game card sheets. Shuffle picture cards and lay 16 cards face-up on the table. Give each student a game card. Explain to the students that they have one minute to list all the items that go in the category on their game card. (you can choose your own time limit – some students need more time to copy down words). Students earn 1 point for all words they write down that go in the target category listed.
Modifying the game
Change cards for each round and/or change game cards. You can also have students use different game cards within a round or use the same game card target.
For younger students, you want to use less categories (1-2 categories). For older students, you can give them 3-4 categories or the full page of 8 categories (blank so you can add categories as desired or have students create categories). Make sure students understand that words CAN go in more than one category.
