BREAKOUT - ¿Dónde está mi teléfono? is a cooperative group activity for beginning students or as review at the beginning of Spanish II.
This activity is designed for 10 groups of students with a do-it-yourself breakout kit. Included are suggestions for locks, envelopes, boxes, and more for significantly less. With little modification, this activity can be used with the BreakoutEdu® kit. All the planning and organization is already done! This is very easy to set up and execute.
Students read comprehensible input (CI) to discover clues that open a lock and lead them to the next challenge in an effort to locate Pepe's lost phone. Students read about his schedule, his classroom, his community and everyday activities. At the end of their journey. students find Peps's phone in the locked box. This kit includes a printable candy wrapper with a cell phone that can be wrapped around a fun-size candy bar.
Readings are mostly present tense. There is an emphasis on buscar, encontrar, estar, and prepositions of location.
