This math version of the BUMP! slides focuses on sums of ten. For each equation, one addend is missing. It's a fun and active way to practice fluency with all the ways to make ten. The slides alternate between the missing addend being in the first and then second position, such as:
6 + _ = 10 and
_ + 2 = 10
...and there are all the fun kinesthetic slides in between that help the children maintain focus and engagement:
• BUMP! (Jump Up!)
Please know the slides do not advance on their own, so you (or a volunteer student) will need to manually key from one slide to the next. I have never had a problem with this feature as several of my students want to "play teacher" and control the slides.
As your students become more proficient with their sums of ten, you can increase the speed to encourage fluency with the facts.
If you and your students enjoy this game, you'll want to browse my store for other versions of this fun BUMP! game. There are versions to help you practice:
• sight words
• word families
• doubles facts to 24 and more!
These slides also work well in math centers, as formative assessments, and as fun test preparation.
