Activities included in this interactive unit of study are researching/understanding the significance of the Civil War and the purpose of the Underground Railroad and how music played a huge role in this movement, identifying the characteristics of Ragtime music, identifying why/how the Blues originated, and classifying/labeling/identifying the various forms of Jazz.
