THE MYSTERY ON COW MOUNTAIN!
Encouraging your students to write will help them be more self confident, better readers, and more creative!
This creative writing activity is fun and engaging for grades 3-5. Your students will read, write, and share their ideas. I included in this activity the first chapter of my mystery book, The Mystery on Cow Mountain.
The writing assignment is in both color and black ink for easy copies.
There is 1 page of comprehension questions, 2 magnifying glasses to write notes on the middle and ending parts, 6 cards for students to write questions to ask their classmates after they read their story, 1 proof reading page, 1 page with 9 additional activities to do with your students, and 1 page for students to brainstorm.
Students will also have to add 5 illustrations to their story, present to the class, and ask the class 5 questions about the story. All directions included in this lesson.
This might be a fun activity to do toward the end of school to help students stay focused on reading and writing.
I wish your students much success this year in all they do!
