This bundle contains 5 sets of review sheets and quizzes for Energy, Forces, and Motion based on the Next Generation Science Standards. The topics include:

The review sheets and quizzes can be edited to fit your needs. The format includes multiple choice questions, short answer, true or false, and modeling (graphing and creating diagrams - Please note: the modeling is only for the kinetic and potential energy quiz and review sheet). The number of questions range from 6 to 24 on the review sheets and quizzes. For the Newton's Laws of Motion set, there are three different versions of the quizzes and review sheets - you use the ones that work best for you.

The review sheets and quizzes were designed for use after teaching Energy, Forces, and Motion energy using the Next Generation Science Standards. The review sheets and quizzes do not meet the standards themselves; they provide a way to assess students after doing investigations using the standards. The Next Generation Science Standards addressed include:

• MS-PS2-1: Apply Newton’s Third Law of to design a solution to a problem involving the motion of two colliding objects.

• MS-PS2-2: Plan an investigation to provide evidence that the change in an object’s motion depends on the sum of the forces on the object and the mass of the object.

• MS-PS2-3: Ask questions about data to determine the factors that affect the strength of electric and magnetic forces.

• MS-PS2-5: Conduct an investigation and evaluate the experiment design to provide exerting forces on each other even though the objects are not in contact.

• MS-PS3-1: Construct and interpret graphical displays of data to describe the relationships of kinetic energy to the mass of an object and to the speed of the object.

• MS-PS3-2: Develop a model to describe that when the arrangements of objects interacting at a distance changes, different amounts of potential energy are stored in the system.

• MS-PS3-5: Construct, use, and present arguments to support the claim that when the kinetic energy of an object changes, energy is transferred to or from the object.
