These Kindergarten phonics & spelling lessons and assessments were made in collaboration with the wonderful Kindergarten teachers on Heather's campus. They needed a phonics product that was HMH Journeys & TEKS aligned and had the continuous review of Saxon Phonics. Originally, this curriculum was made in D'Nealian handwriting as that is their preferred handwriting style. But, because we've had so many requests from teachers wanting these lessons in manuscript/Zaner-Bloser handwriting, we decided to do our best to meet their needs.

Each week, you'll find:
1) daily lessons

These week 13-18 lesson sets feature Thanksgiving, Christmas, & winter themes and address the following:

WEEK 13:
Phonological Awareness: Blend phonemes, final sound
Phonics:
•Ff (CVC)
Spelling/High Frequency Words: fan, fat, map, pat (phonics), you, what (high frequency)

WEEK 14:
Phonological Awareness: Blend phonemes, isolate middle sound
Phonics:
•Bb (CVC)
Spelling/High Frequency Words: bat, bad, cab, tab (phonics), are, now (high frequency)

WEEK 15:
Phonological Awareness: Blend phonemes, isolate middle sound
Phonics Review:
•Short Ăă (VC/CVC)
•Nn (VC/CVC)
•Ff (CVC)
•Bb (CVC)
Spelling Words: ban, mat, tan, pan, tap
High Frequency Words Review: come, my, you, are, now

WEEK 16:
Phonological Awareness: Blend phonemes, isolate middle sound
Phonics:
•Short Ĭĭ (VC/CVC)
Spelling/High Frequency Words: in, it, if, fin, fit (phonics), is, how, of, many, where (high frequency)

WEEK 17:
Phonological Awareness: Blend phonemes, segment phonemes
Phonics:
•Gg (CVC)
Spelling/High Frequency Words: big, fig, pig, log, nag (phonics), find, this, from, came, but (high frequency)

WEEK 18:
Phonological Awareness: Blend phonemes, segment phonemes
Phonics:
•Rr (CVC)
Spelling/High Frequency Words: rag, rat, ran, rim, rib (phonics), will, be, that, your, who (high frequency)
