Just in time for Easter. This adorable Easter song with German roots is a great song for reinforcing the concept of Low Sol, while preparing/presenting the new concept of Low Ti,. Activities in this POWER-POINT file include:
a. A Cute Easter Egg Steady Beat Icon Tapping Chart and Lyrics Page.
b. A Rhythmic Icon Tapping Chart.
c. A Melodic and Rhythmic Icon Taping Chart using the cute Easter Eggs.
d. Melodic Icon Notation on the Staff where the note-heads are Easter Eggs. This activity also draws students' attention to the location of the new mystery tone "low ti,."
e. An Interactive Ordering activity where students' will arrange Solfege Easter Eggs in correct Melodic order.

This fun, adorable song is a great way to introduce your elementary music students to the concept of new rhythm pattern "tam-ti" (dotted quarter-single eighth). In this POWER-POINT version of this file, activities include:
a. A lyrics page with 7 verses of the song.
b. A heartbeat icon tapping page.
c. A rhythm icon tapping page in which they new rhythm pattern is concealed, then revealed with interactive boxes that prompt students to think about how many sounds they are hearing per heartbeat as they sing and clap the words to the song.
d. Same as #3 except the new rhythm pattern is highlighted.
e. A melodic & rhythmic iconic notation tapping chart where students are prompted to analyze/observe what they notice different about this particular chart compared to the previous ones.
f. Reading the melodic icon notation from the staff activity. The new rhythm pattern is located and highlighted but still has not been "labeled" or "named" at this point.

3. Old Mister Rabbit: Presenting Low La (POWER-POINT Edition) - 12 pages.
This cute POWER-POINT lesson presents the new "mystery note" Low La to your elementary music students. Activities included in this file are as follows:
a. A lyrics page followed by a heartbeat bunny icon tapping chart.
b. A rhythm dictation activity where students identify duration of sounds per beat.
c. A reading melodic/rhythmic notation picture icon tapping chart, identifying a concealed icon as the new "mystery note" using the idea of the popular story of Solfa Melody Street in which the new "mystery note" has a "For Sale" sign covering it so students can't see the name of it.
d. A reading the song from real melodic notation on the staff with cabbage heads as the note-heads. The "mystery note" is still concealed.
e. A "Melody Street" slide in which the "mystery note" is concealed but then revealed and is made conscious to students.
f. Same as #4 but with real music notation note-heads.
g. An interactive melodic note identification activity in which the students will have to label and place the new "mystery note" on the staff in multiple places depending on the notes that are already provided within each given exercise.
This lesson is a great way to assess your students' understanding of this new concept presented in the lesson.

Mister Rabbit with his adorable long ears presents the new rhythm concept of tam-ti and reinforces a familiar rhythm syncopa to your elementary music students in this popular African-American Spiritual. Created in POWER-POINT, this lesson gives you the tools to present what can be somewhat of an abstract concept to your students. You will receive the follow with your purchase.
a. A lyrics slide.
b. A heartbeat bunny icon tapping chart.
c. A rhythm bunny icon reading/tapping chart with the actual rhythm notation secretly waiting to be revealed with just a magic touch of a finger. Directions are included for this.
d. Reading the song from the staff with melodic/rhythmic notation (cute bunnies are used as the notation) drawing attention to areas where the new rhythm is used. The new rhythm at this point has still not actually been "named" yet.
e. A slide in which the new mystery rhythm is finally revealed and it's name is presented to the students.
f. Same as item #4 but the notation is "real" notation with note heads instead of bunnies.
