I created my first version of these to help a piano student who was not understanding dotted quarter note rhythms.
The bundle comes with three cards of three measures, one card each for 4/4, 3/4, and 6/8. There are note cards in different rhythms. Cut them out (just don't cut the dotted lines), and each card will cover only the number of beats it takes up. Underneath each card you will see the counting. So you can move the cards around to show a quarter note starting on 1 or starting on &.
The note cards are interchangeable, but they have the note values printed on them and so the 6/8 cards will be different from the 4/4 (obviously!) but this might confuse students if you mix them up, so I STRONGLY recommend that you print the 6/8 notes on different colored paper. I also recommend laminating them.
Suggested use: In a classroom setting, put students in groups with one or two cards per group and have them take turns coming up with rhythms and clapping or counting them out. Then have students share their favorites!
