The attached file is a six week unit designed to go with the first grade Common Core Curriculum Map Unit “Around the World with a Glass Slipper.” Each week contains a 5 day plan along with a student packet with a cover sheet and activity pages and comprehension questions. I have included both PDF and Word versions of each document if you would like to make changes to them.
The plans include: focus standards, vocabulary, essential questions, I can statements and technology links.
Students will learn about four different continents, several countries in them and read a version of Cinderella from each. They will compile information that they collect about each story and choose their favorite. They will conclude the unit by learning about masks from various cultures and creating a mask of their own. This is a bundled file of the individual week plans that I have posted separately.
