The following unit has been created to meet the five core components of reading: phonics, phonemes, fluency, comprehension and vocabulary through research based reading instruction. It has been differentiated to help you meet the needs of all of your students. Each activity should be given to students on their independent level. They should be able to read the directions, problem solve and have fun learning without teacher assistance. Included in the unit are engaging topics, games, activities and hands-on fun that will make your students ask for more each week all while making your administration pleased that students are engaged in purposeful reading activities.
