Looking for a quick "back to school" themed game for your music lessons? Try this snappy game that reinforces their understanding of 4/4 time, quarter notes, half notes, and quarter rests. To play, two players start with their tokens at the bottom of each row. To move forward, the two players play "Rock, Paper, Scissors." Whoever wins the round gets to move forward a space and clap that rhythm. Whoever makes it to school first, wins the game!
The whole game takes well under five minutes to play and is very easy to prep- nothing extra to cut out! This game works well in private lessons or as a music center.
