Product Description
This product will help your students understand the most important questions to ask during the first week in the science classroom, 'what is science?' and 'what does a scientist look like?' There are 5 lessons within this product, created in the 5E lesson model. Students will start with an engage activity to open up communication. Next they will work together to complete a simple paper chain activity. Then, they will understand the science processes and decide if the activity was 'doing science'. Students will come to understand that they, too, are scientists and create scientist self-portraits. Finally, they will research one scientist they believe changed the world and identify how that scientist engaged in the science process skills! Perfect for the first week of school!
