Description
ONE resource for your ENTIRE teletherapy caseload to start the year off right! Using this template, you can create a custom first day of speech therapy activity to help you get to know your students and cover basic housekeeping information.
There's a LOT to cover in the first teletherapy session of the year, but this resource keeps it SIMPLE, provides STRUCTURE, and STREAMLINES the prep. Once you create the interactive presentation, you can use it again and again for each student or group!
Use this activity during the first week of school (or any first session) to...
✅ ESTABLISH RAPPORT with your students
✅ Share the RULES or EXPECTATIONS of speech therapy/teletherapy sessions
✅ Remind students of the GOALS they'll be working on
✅ Practice basic teletherapy platform TROUBLESHOOTING
This resource is a structured way to break the ice by eliciting natural "get to know you" conversations. You'll be able to introduce yourself to your students, find out about them, and cover all that important "beginning of the year" information.
The editable template comes in TWO FORMATS:
✅ PowerPoint™
✅ Google Slides™
*Each of the above formats has two background choices– white & chalkboard.
First, you'll prepare the activity by personalizing it to you, your students, and your sessions. You'll add your own photos or pictures and fill in the text boxes to share the specific information you'd like. Other portions can be completed alongside your students on the first day of speech therapy!
