These Back To the Books task cards are perfect to use on the first day of school with your new students! Use the Back to Books review pages to review important school procedures and information. Students review this information with corresponding task cards. (27 in all!) This is a great way to teach task card expectations while reviewing back to school information.
Information included with information sheets and task cards include:
School day start time
School day end time
Number of students in class
Number of teachers in grade level
Morning arrival procedure
Afternoon dismissal procedure
Classroom rules & behavior management
Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies times
PE, Music, and Library times
Emergency drill policy
Absent work management
Also included are two recording sheet options. The first option includes 27 recording squares on one page. The other option has two pages to record answers (with larger squares).
How I use this activity:
I give each student a review page. I answer each question and they record the answer. I give the students a few minutes to review this information with each other in small groups or partners. Then we play scoot or another task card game.
