A First for Everything

Back to School: It's back to school time! Do you need a meaningful way for students to get to know school staff? Kids LOVE playing cards and trading cards. These super fun and engaging school staff trading cards are a great way for increasing school wide involvement. Let students know who makes up their school staff and who is there to help them. What is Mr. Smith's role in our school? Where is his office? How does he help out school run?
One way you could use these back to school trading cards for example, is for students to go on a "scavenger hunt" to collect cards from each staff member. The nurse would hold her nurse cards in her office. As you tour the school and meet the nurse. she gives students her trading card. Students try to collect all the trading cards by meeting all school staff. The cards can also be used for matching activities, concentration, "Go Fish", collecting and more. My students LOVED this. This was a great way to get up and move around the first few days of school, meet new people, tour the school, and I loved how it created a community effort in our classroom and in our school .
35 colored school staff cards and 35 black and white school staff cards are included in this Back to School Trading Cards resource.
The cards can be printed and cut to have index sized cards or they can be printed, cut, and folded in half so as to have playing card sized cards.

Each card contains the job title of a school staff member with matching picture and job description.
