Back to School Activities

This Back to School packet contains 1st Grade activities for the First Week of School! It comes with beginning of the year activities like Letter and Number recognition practice, Word Problems, a Reading Log, a "My First Week of School" book, fun Scavenger Hunts, and other practical printables and tips!

There is no time like the first week of school! It is a time to set the tone and expectations for our classrooms, get students to know each other, and get those reading levels in!

This packet was created with all of that in mind. Some activities encourage social interaction (like scavenger hunts, games, and sharing their writing and problem solving ideas), while others call for independent practice (like writing activities, math problems, cut and paste activities, and symmetry sheets).

I have included some procedure TIPS to help you have a smooth start! Remember that kids take a lot longer to do things in the beginning of the year!!
