32 activities for back to school...each one with a lesson idea!
This resource will not only help you, but help your students transition into a new school year. As a teacher you can use these activities to plan for the first week of school, spread them out into the 2nd week or throughout the school year. I have divided the activities into content areas (reading, writing, math, social studies, and along with extra activities to use as fillers or extension activities). The “extra” activities help students become acclimated to their school, classroom, and new classmates.
I included a binder cover, as well as each activity that has a small explanation of what to do for that specific lesson. These are not full length lesson plans, but lesson ideas to use throughout the week. We all write lesson plans differently and you will find the explanation is easy enough to follow along and understand. These forms can be placed in a binder to help keep you organized. Then on the planning sheets, you pick an activity for the day from each content area. Don’t forget to check off the activity that was completed for the week. The activities are perfect for assessment tools, review, and used to helps students get acclimated to the
school year (rules and routines of the classroom). Many of these activities require no prep (only print a sheet for each student). The sheets are also in black and white to help cut down the cost of colored ink. Some activities may require students to cut and paste. This packet is also perfect for a new teacher, student teacher, or a teacher that is in need of a fresh beginning to the new school year. We are keeping it organized and simple for the first few weeks of school!
I hope you find this resource packet useful for the beginning of the school year!
