This back to school activity is a fun writing activity to do the first day or week of school. Kids are excited about the start of a new year, so why not embrace the moment and just let them write about it by using this 8.5 x 11 back to school poster (landscape).
This poster will look great hanging outside your classroom, and parents will enjoy reading them when they are sent home.
The back to school poster activity has plenty of places for students to add their own creative touches with color as they color the black lined school themed pictures.
You could also use as a literacy center activity, or it makes for a great morning work activity. Please use it in your classroom however you would like.
NOTE: The images are gray scare and are supposed to look like they were sketched on notebook paper.
