This Back to School project is an engineering design activity that combines writing, problem solving, art and creative thinking. Students are asked to produce a Rube Goldberg machine. This challenges students to think about ‘cause and effect’ that showcases their design and creative thinking abilities. This project could be done at any time during the school year.
The final product is a student poster that is great for a bulletin board display.
Included in this package are teacher directions, student task card, background information and a graphic organizer for the planning of their design. No prep involved.
