Comprehension, story retelling, handwriting practice, and more; activities go with the book Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten by Joseph Slate. Google Slides versions for counting, letter identification, story retelling included.

Start with a great Pocket Chart activity that can be done whole group, then placed in the center for independent practice. There is a follow up printable for individual comprehension checks.

Story recalling details cards: Students can identify the items seen in the book and sort by things int he book or not.

✳ Alphabet Letters: Large letters to use while reading the story for letter and sound recognition

✳ Count and Trace numbers 1-10

✳ Cut and Paste spelling activity

✳ Letter Tracing

✳ Color by the Code, master pages of the coloring code for you to display

✳ Character Hat: wrap up your study with a fun hat for the students to color and wear. There are several characters from the book.
