What educators are saying
Description
Back to School: This is a fun back to school game to help your new students get to know each other.
As you know, building community and friendships is such an important thing to do the first week of school. This game will get your kids talking because that is what it was intended to do.
NOTE: You can not get this product in a Back-to- School BUNDLED PACK at a reduced price by clicking HERE
In this game, students will draw a card that has a 'get to know you' question on it. They will read it aloud and then answer it. There are 32 question cards including questions such as, "What is your first and last name", "What do you like to do for fun", "What was the last book you read", and so many more. After a student answers the question, they roll the dice and move that many spaces. Incorporating the questions into a game format is just a fun method of working together.
The length of the game will be determined by what number the kids roll on the dice. Let them play a couple of times in order to get through the question cards if needed. They will be happy you let them play again!
This game works perfectly in a file folder. A cute game cover sheet is included, a back to school themed game board (staple one to each side on the inside of folder), 32 game cards to laminate and put in a baggie, and a direction sheet to laminate and keep with the game.
You can also use this in a literacy center the first week or two of class if you would prefer to use it that way. Be creative!
Your students will have fun getting to know each other.
