PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This Back to School Bundle includes THIRTEEN products from my store, ranging from Classroom Management, Positive Behavior Rewards, and much more! There are several activity choices to allow your students to get to know one another during those first weeks back to school. In additional, several of the products contain EDITABLE templates that will allow you to customize aspects of the products to fit the needs of your students. The total cost of these products is over $35, but this bundle costs only $18. That's like getting each product for a little more than $1!

The following files are included in this download:

1. Student Facebook Profile Information Sheet: Throw out those index cards or standard information sheets that students hate to fill out and replace them with a Facebook Profile for each student to complete. Students can attach a picture to the profile. In addition, there is space for students to be important contact information, background information about themselves, and series of questions related to ELA for them to answer.


2. Interview with a Classmate Activity: Are you looking for a way to get your students talking to one another in those first few days of school and a way to instantly build a community sense in your classroom? Look no further than this collaborative learning task, Interview with a Classmate: Biography. This is a fun and engaging activity for the first days of school. It allows students to generate questions, conduct a formal interview, and organize the information they have learned about their classmate to write a multi-paragraph biography. This is also a great way to get a baseline diagnostic of the writing levels of the students in your classroom. In addition to including teacher models and editable reference sheets, this product also includes a Back to School Choice Board Activity for early finishers that includes four tasks that lets your students tell you a bit more about themselves.


3. Back to School: Getting to Know Your Classmates: This is a great back to school activity to help students get to know one another and break the ice. Students will use this Venn Diagram to compare and contrast themselves with a classmate. There are three different templates and an exemplary model in this file.


4. Placemat Consensus Activity: Classroom Rules: Are you looking for a fun way to introduce students to group activities and promote collaboration in your classroom from Day 1? Look no further than the Back to School Placemat consensus activity. This engaging and thought-provoking activity is a great back to school collaborative structure to introduce classroom rules, why they are necessary, and to let students think about what a classroom needs to be to promote success and learning. Teachers will love that this product contains several pre-designed templates with questions that makes it easy for them to print and implement this activity. In addition, there are also EDITABLE templates in the Powerpoint version of this product that allows teachers to create their own questions for students to ponder. I have also included directions, sample placemat consensus, and examples of how I used this activity to create class anchor charts in my own classroom.

5. Find Someone Who: Get to Know Your Classmates! and Back to School Rules!: Are you looking for a way to break up the monotony of the first day of school and get your students out of their desks and moving? Look no further than the Find Someone Who Activity. This product includes two pre-designed templates that teacher can print and implement. In addition, there are also three EDITABLE templates that allow you to create your own search criteria and games.

>>The first pre-designed game, Find Someone Who: Get to Know Your Classmates! contains several statements that allow students to search for classmates who can answer the statements. This is a great way to break the ice and lets your students get to know each other. There is also a blank template included that allows you to customize the student statements.

>>The second pre-designed game, Find Someone Who: Back to School Rules!, can be used as review after teaching the class policies and procedures. This is a great activity to get students comfortable with review activities in your classroom. There is also a blank template included that allows you to customize the statements.


6. Student Incentive Punch Cards: This file contains five different student incentive punch card templates.If you have a large amount of students, it can be very expensive to buy pre-made student incentive punch cards in the store or creating your own on other websites.This is a much cheaper option and you get five different punch cards to select from- SuperStar Student Punch Card, Academic Punch Card, Homework Punch Card, Attendance Punch Card, and a Reading Rockstar Punch Card.

7. Teacher Reward Postcards: This PDF file of teacher postcards contains six different designs that focus on rewarding students for positive behavior and academic success. There are two postcards per sheet of paper. You can print out the postcards on cardstock or other heavy duty paper. On the blank side, you can write a note to your students to reward them for their positive behavior or academic success (There is an example of this in the preview file). This is a very cheap way to help reward your students.

8.ELA or Reading Classroom Management Tool: This product is designed to use in either an ELA or Reading classroom to help with whole group classroom management.The are four slides that have the letters "R", "E", "A", and "D" on individual sheets of paper. Also included are four message for to students that go on the back of each letter for students to read.When students are not cooperating or talking is out of hand, you turn over one of the letters that spells "READ". Once the students have lost the "D", then their talking privileges are gone. Great visual classroom management tool to constantly remind students of their behavior, both positive and negative.


9.Desk Numbers for Student Grouping: This file contains 30 different color options of desk numbers that can be used to group students or assign group member roles/responsibilities. The many colors options can be matched to any classroom theme.


10. Assess Your Learning Bookmarks and Ticket out the Door: This PDF files contains 12 "Assess Your Learning" bookmarks in a variety of designs and using a red, yellow, green color system.
>>The bookmarks contain three different levels of understanding:
1. I Have Got This: I understand today's learning and do not need any help!
2. I Kind of Got This: I kind of understand today's learning but need some more help.
3. I Do Not Get This: I do not understand today's learning and need more help!

>>The following designs are included:

This file also includes a ticket out the door that students can fill out using the "Assess Your Learning" bookmarks. Students have to put a check next to their level of understanding, write an "I Can" statement letting the teacher know what they can do based upon the learning objective, and give an example/explain the new learning.


11. ELA/Reading Digital Anchor Charts: This file contains 41 digital anchor charts to use in an ELA/Reading classroom. Topics covered in this file includes the Opinion-Proof Strategy, Fact and Opinion, VVWA Charts, Academic Conversation starters, the Better Answers Writing Strategy, and much more! Great resource to use for interactive notebooks!


12. All About Me: Letter To My Teacher Activity: This activity is a great way to have students introduce themselves to their new teacher at the beginning of a new school year or semester. In addition, the writing composition can also be used ad a writing pre-assessment to gauge the student's writing styles and strengths/weaknesses. The file contains the following products in two versions (PDF and Microsoft Power Point):
>>Writing Cover Sheet: This sheet contains the learning target, writing topic, writing process guide, area for brainstorming, and rubric.
>>Four Square Organizer-Students can use this worksheet to organize their letter.
>>Teacher Model: Four Square Organizer-This model shows students what a high quality organizer looks like. Students can use this as a reference as they are organizing their letter.
>>Teacher Model: All About Me-This is a model letter written by a former student that introduces who he is and what the teacher needs to know about him. It is a high-quality sample of what the student's finished product should look like.
>>Criteria Poster- A poster that displays the criteria for this writing activity is included.


13. The Student First Look Book is a great way for elementary students to introduce themselves to their teacher and classmates. Students can create a first look book that can be displayed in the classroom for Open House or Parent Nights. This file contains everything you need except the manila folder.

The product comes in two versions (PDF and Microsoft Power Point) so that you can easily edit and customize this product if needed. The following topics are included in this file:
>>A cover page that goes on the front of the manila folder that students can decorate as they wish.My Portrait for students to place a photo in the book.
>>Facts About Me: (Name, Birthday, Age, Hometown)
>>My Family: A section for the students to list and talk about their family members.
>>When I Grow Up, I Want to Be...: Students can write about what they want to be when they grow up.
>>My Goal for this School Year: Students can set a long-term goal for the school year.
>>My Biggest Strength: Students can discuss what their biggest strength is and why they think it is a strength.
>>My Biggest Weakness: Students can discuss what their biggest weakness is and what they may need help in during the school year.
>>What I Need from My Teacher: Students can write a short response what they will need from their teacher this school year.
>>A Few of my Favorite Things: Students can list a few of their favorite things from favorite color to favorite subject in school.
