One of the primary goals at the beginning of the school year is to learn about the students in your class, in order to form a connection. Use this back to school choice board to learn about student's favorite subjects and foods, how they spent their summer, classroom rules and consequences they deem fair, and what goals they would like to achieve this year.
A choice board allows students to choose how they will learn or demonstrate a skill. Inside each square is an activity. You decide how many squares students need to complete. For example, all squares, two odd and two even squares, three squares in a row (up or down), etc.
