What better way to show kids their new classroom and teach them their new expectations for the year than through a scavenger hunt?
This was one of my most favorite things I did last year! The kids had to grab a buddy to meet someone new, and finish the scavenger hunt WITHOUT asking me any questions! The best way to learn is through exploration.
Even better, after this activity, I NEVER had to answer, "Where's the Bandaid Box?" "What time do we go to the library?" and "What do I do when I'm done?"
Choose if you want a quick, one-page activity, or an all-inclusive two pager.
Included is a PDF of how I use this in the classroom, my actual scavenger hunt to help guide your questions, and a blank template for you to complete. If it's easier for you to make your own scavenger hunt using a ready-to-go powerpoint, shoot me an email (address in document).
