Back to School!
This is a back to school themed set of games, centers, and printables. The games and centers are designed to help students review their colors and color names. Each game and worksheet has different school supplies in different colors. The colors included are: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple. There is a color die included, you just need to put it together.
Common Core Standard:
CCSS.Math.Content.K.CC.C.6 Identify whether the number of objects in one group is greater than, less than, or equal to the number of objects in another group, e.g., by using matching and counting strategies.
Objective: Students will identify colors and match the colors on the Roll and Cover mats. Students will identify color rolled on die and color the same color on the Roll and Color work-sheets. Students will graph the colors that they roll to see which color was rolled most and least times.
The Roll and Cover mats include: pencils, markers, crayons, paints, and push pins. Each set of supplies has a supply in each of the 6 colors.
Roll and Color Worksheets include the same supplies and colors. Students will roll the die and color one of the school supplies on the worksheet the same color. Continue until all the school supplies are colored
Roll and Color Graph #1- include the same supplies and colors. Students will color the bottom of the graph with each of the colors on the die. Students will take turns rolling the die and coloring in the appropriate space on their graph. After completing the graph, students will compare the amounts of colors on their graph.
Roll and Color Graph #2– includes the same supplies and colors. This graph is the same as #1, except that the color words are written in black at the bottom of the graph. Students will color the color words the appropriate color and follow the directions of #1.
Roll and Color Graph #3– includes the same supplies and colors. This graph is identical to #2, except the color words are written in color. Students will match the colors and color the bottom of the graph and follow the directions of #1.
I am so pleased to share some different center ideas with you. I am passionate about differentiation and believe that it is so important to make it easier for the classroom teacher to differentiate. I hope that my centers save you some time and provide your students with enjoyment!
