This listing is for a “School starts in ___ days” countdown and an interchangeable monthly calendar with “school/no school /home” visual icons together with calendar date icons. Both the interchangeable calendar and the school countdown resource are available in colour and black and white. They are hands on interactive learning resources to help children understand the days until school starts using the countdown resource and to understand the days they will go to school and days they are at home. I have created visual icons for the Interchangeable calendar that include:
•Interchangeable month icons
•31 calendar date icons
•School icons
•No school icons
•Home icons
Given the uncertainty that Covid-19 now brings to each of our children’s lives, using a hands on interactive resource such as the “School starts in ____ days” and “the interchangeable calendar” with visual icons, will help to give your student a concrete sense of time passing and will help to abate anxieties they may be feeling.
Encourage your student to add the correct visual icon each day to their calendar. Use the countdown resource one month before school starts. Each day encourage your student/child to add the correct countdown number on their countdown resource. Hang the calendar and the countdown resource in a location such as the kitchen or their bedroom where it is a focal point and encouraging them to use the resource each day.
