Back to School Crafts Bundle.

Art and Writing projects.

There SIX art and writing projects to help get your school year off to a great start! All templates and step by step directions are included.

The first is Scaredy Squirrel. They will enjoy hearing this story by Melanie Watt read to them. Talk about the story and your students favorite parts. We wrote some of our favorite parts in complete sentences on the board. Have students complete writing and assemble craft. Makes a great bulletin board!

The Kissing Hand is a fun project. Read this book by Audrey Penn to your students. Talk about how they might relate to this story. Have them assemble the project and complete writing.

The Back to School Bumble Bee is a fun way to get to know your students! Take a picture of each students face and print to your color copy machine. Have your students complete the writing portion and color (or watercolor) their bumble bee. We added their faces to their projects once they were turned in. It made a great bulletin board! This can also be sent home as a project to do with their family!

Wemberly Worried is another fun craft for your students. Read this great story by Kevin Henkes to them. Talk about the story and their favorite parts. Complete the
watercolor rainbow and let dry while coloring and assembling Wemberly. Glue her onto your rainbow. A writing is optional for this craft. If you do a writing, attach it to the bottom of the project before hanging! :)

Rainbow Fish is one of my favorite projects. Read the story by Marcus Pfister to your students. Talk about the story and what they have learned. Have students complete
their writing now and assemble their rainbow fish. Makes a beautiful bulletin board!

Last, there is "Owl" about first grade. Talk to your students about what they would like to learn this year. They could also write about their favorite parts of their first day of school! Assemble craft. Their writing really stands out if you have them trace with a marker. Title your bulletin board "Owl" about First Grade (or any grade!)
