I am THRILLED to share with you my first in a series of themed place value centers for use as a dedicated center rotation. Place value is a foundational skill that is often neglected; I believe strongly in making it a focus!

Included in each edition of Place Value Through the Year are FIVE fully differentiated centers {easily noted by 1 or 2 stars on all materials} in a Back-to-School & Football theme:

"Making Numbers" - Students build two and three-digit numbers using digit cards. Students then represent their number using base-ten blocks or cards.

"Memory Match" - Students match different representations of two and three-digit numbers -- such as standard form, word form, block form, and expanded form.

"More and Less" - Students identify numbers in various forms and work to find more (+1, +10, or +100) and less (-1, -10, or -100) than that number.

"How Much?" - Students identify the value of an underlined digit in a two and three-digit number. Students then represent their number using base-ten blocks or cards.

"Brain Ticklers" - Students find a number from riddles that use place and expanded form as clues. Students then represent the numbers from the riddles using base-ten blocks.

*Keys ARE included, as well as anchor charts that model the center for students so they maintain independence!*

I urge you to preview the file so you can see EXACTLY what you are getting -- including all of the ADORABLE Back-to-School & Football themed graphics {seriously y'all, too cute!}, and read a little bit more about how this is JUST what your classroom needs!

This product is Common Core and Virginia SOL-aligned.
