Fact Fluency is not just memorization of addition and subtraction facts. It's a lot more than that. Monthly Fact Fluency Strategy activity sets will ensure that students understand and retain strategies they need in order to become fluent in solving their math facts.
Do you need consistent fact fluency review activities that aren't just, solve that addition fact? Check out this product that encourages students to practice fact solving strategies each week. The skills each month, progress with student learning as the year goes on. The skills allow students to apply old and new skills so they don't forget important fact solving strategies.
Each Friday, I have something called: Fact Fluency Friday.
These fluency activities can also be used for morning work, sub activities or math station activities.
In my room my students rotate through four buckets of fluency math activities that I feel they need more practice with. In this file there are six strategy activities included so you can choose the ones that work best for your class. The activities are consistent in design so there is no need for a long explanation lesson. They are also VERY easy to prep. Seriously, copy them and put them in a bin! The activities are still hands on and encourage the use of manipulatives.
The concepts in this file are:
Writing Numbers & Number Order
Number Order Identification
One More & One Less
Adding to 10
Using pictures to add (Dots & Draw)
