This is the perfect ice breaker activity for that first week of school! My kids had a great time filling out these squares with all their favorites. Then, we took time to walk around the room, ask each other questions and color in our grid to discover what we had in common with each other. I put my grid on display for the kids to see my answers. Some of my students had a match with me, which was fun!
After the allotted time to share grids was up, we talked about which boxes were easy to color and which were more difficult. We also broke this activity into 2 days. The first day we filled in the grids; the second day we shared with our classmates to color in the grids.
