Back-to-school time is always filled with introductions and “getting
to know each other” activities. I love to use graphing activities in
those first couple of weeks to help my students learn more about
each other and their class. It is also a great way to assess basic
math skills during those first couple weeks.
This Back-to-School graphing packet includes the following survey
and graphing kits:
*How many brothers and sisters are in your family?
*What month were you born in?
*What is your favorite subject at school?
*If you could have one of these lunches, which would you pick?
*Which candy do you like best?
*Do you have a pet at home?
*Would You Rather survey: Would you rather go on a camping trip or a trip to the beach? Earn a popcorn party or pajama day? Get a new video game or a new movie?
Some graphing activities include optional cards for students to show their answers on large chart paper or on your white board.
