Getting to know you activities -
~ NEWLY ADDED – Math About Me – This is a fun way that students use numbers or math operations for friends to solve information about them (such as how tall in inches or how many people are in their family). This can easily be done just by completing the activity and providing just the numbers or a bit more challenging for students to solve operations in order to come to an answer. For example, if I were 60 inches tall; I might write 12 x 5 for my classmate to solve.

Students will have to explain their feelings about the first day back to school. This is perfect for an end of the first day of school activity. The have to explain in detail what they are excited to learn, what they are nervous about, what they loved, why they might be sad, and what surprised them about their first day.
