Are you looking for a fun activity to get your students communicating on that first day of school? This is a fun little craft and activity for them to do. To begin with, each student completes an "about me" puzzle board and cuts it apart. The teacher has the students gather all of their pieces and place them on a random desktop. Students then go back to their desks and reassemble the puzzle pieces that belong to someone else. They then must complete the paragraph form using the puzzle they recieved. At the end, have the students stand, find the owner of their puzzle and share the information that they learned by reading aloud their paragraphs. This would also lead into a great graphing lesson using venn diagrams! I hope you enjoy it!
