In the beginning of the year, I like to review my student's goals and preferential seating right away.
It is important for students to see and understand their IEP and personal goals so they can see what they are working towards. For older students, we look at their IEP together and discuss what they want/need to work on in Hearing this year.
I have also found that some students need a review of preferential seating every year. It is important that the students understand where they should sit for optimal hearing and speechreading and why.
