Back to school time! There are five "get to know you" activities included!
★ Roll & Tell- Students roll a dice and answer the question about themselves using the key. Examples of questions: How many brothers and sisters do you have? What was your favorite part of the summer? *Color and b/w option included
★ Same Game - Students discuss with their group what they agree on using the categories given (color, food, animal, etc.). They come to an agreement on one thing they like from each category. In one version, students can choose their group name using what they have learned about each other (Example: Blue Minions).
★ Fidget Spin & Share- Why not put those fidget spinners to use?! Students spin and answer the question they landed on. Visuals included to help struggling readers. Two activities included! I've also added regular spinners if you would rather keep fidget spinners out of your classroom. :)
★ Find a Friend - Students walk around the room and have their classmates sign their name if they fit a description. Pictures are included to help the beginning readers!
★ Snowball Introductions - Students write their name and answer a question about them (favorite color, favorite place, favorite book, or fav movie!). Students ball up their answers and toss in a circle. They take turn reading the names and matching to the owner.
All great instruction starts with building relationships in the classroom. Your kids will have a blast learning about each other in their class and group!
