When you are starting off at the beginning of the school year, you always have to teach lab safety. When I taught lab safety last year, it didn't seem like I could get my students into the swing of things as quickly as I wanted. This year, I plan to do centers, with one center being a vocabulary center. I plan on doing A LOT of Frayer Models this year, and I wanted my students to be as familiar with the practice of Frayer Models as soon as possible. So what better way to get into the groove of things than starting it with Lab Safety?!
In this Lab Safety Frayer Model Set there are four different Frayer Models with the different types of safety that students have to know including: Fire Safety, Chemical Safety, Sharps Safety, and Clothing Safety.
Included for the students to fill out include: How the accident can happen, What can be done to prevent the accident, Examples of the Accident, and an Illustration of the accident or any other relevant symbols involved in the type of safety.
In this download there is the same term printed twice on a page mean to be cut down the middle and glued in a journal and two separate words on a page where you can staple and have students complete it as class work or as homework.
Also included is a half page of blank Frayer models for you to add to your classroom and a full page blank Frayer Model. Additionally there is a larger filled in Frayer Model over Fire Safety that you can use as an example for your class.
