Back-to-School Language Arts Escape Room

Description
Want to start your year with collaboration, engagement, and fun? This escape room/breakout activity is perfect for you! This is a great way to review basic grammar and parts of speech for the beginning of the year.
Students will work in teams to complete four tasks leading to a prize. The tasks give clues to locations around the classroom, and they must solve the puzzles to find the location of the next clue. The activities are related to language arts terms (parts of speech, essay vocab), but don't require too much prior knowledge (perfect for the first day of school). You can also allow them to use reference sources (online or in books) if they have difficulty.
There is a teacher "cheat sheet" to help you set up quickly, and a reflection sheet for students to fill-in once the activity is completed.
