I created this Back to School handout for parents quite a few years ago. I have been teaching in Inclusion classrooms for nearly 15 years. With so many varied learning style, special needs and the general rise in anxiety for our students, I found this to be a helpful tool throughout the year. Plus it gives parents an easy way to express their concerns instead of cornering you on Back to School night!
I keep these in a portfolio for each student and am sure to shred it before handing their work back to them at the end of the year.
*Be sure to hand these out at the end of the evening, otherwise parents will not pay any attention to you (or is that your goal)?
Can easily be downloaded or emailed to parents who cannot attend.
