In this file you will find a powerpoint presentation for you to print out. It includes Station Signs for you to display in your classroom during your Back To School session. Ours is normally the day before school starts and we have them bring all of their supplies with them if they can. These stations will help you get organized and actually have the students and parents do the work. I have also included an informative letter to sit out at your door explaining the directions. At the end of the session, I give my parents and students a treat to welcome them to another year at school. The tags for those are also included. The Parent Treat Tags are printed on Avery 5163 labels. I stuck them to ziploc baggies full of popcorn. The Student Treat Tags are just printed on paper and I stapled them to Smiles fruit snack pouches. I have also included a slide that shows the parents and students how I would like their desk to be set up. I displayed this on my interactive whiteboard for all to see. One last file that is included in this packet is my Wish List Label file. Each year, I set these out on a table and parents who are willing to donate something that we need, take a tag and send the donation in with their child. It works out great. Parents are impressed with how organized your session was and are willing to help out with your year. What a great way to make a good first impression.
