Product Description

These versatile number cards have so many uses in the classroom or home. We used them almost daily for one thing or another! Here are a few suggestions:

1)Cut apart and use as flashcards. Students can also put the cards in numerical order.

2)Make TWO copies. Leave one set whole and cut the second set into flashcards. Students can take turns choosing a card from a turned-down stack. If they can identify the number on the card they then find the matching number on the sheet that is not cut and cover it with a chip. If they cannot identify the number, it goes back in the stack. The first student to cover all the numbers on the uncut sheet wins.

3)Give each child a full sheet. Using a dice, have students roll a number and then add that number of counters to their sheet. For example, if they roll a 3, they would cover the first 3 boxes. For the next turn, they roll again and place the number of counters on the mat. So if they rolled a 4 the second time, they would add four more counters. Then they have to identify the number they are now on (7). Play continues until a student completely fills their number chart. For added challenge, when they get to the end, the student can be required to get the exact number needed to get them to 20. So if they were on 18, they would need to roll a 1 or a 2 to be able to place another counter on.
