This purchase includes three activity sheets (worksheets). Two of the activity sheets give students individual questions about the history of education in the United States. Students will match their correct answer to answer the given questions. The other sheet is a "riddle" or "puzzle" answering "Horace Mann" as the Father of Education in America Students will get one letter per question to fill in the answer to the riddle/puzzle. Sometimes I use the two sheets that are very similar to be practice and independent practice. Other times, I give them to students who work together so that each has his/her own work to complete.
These are questions that have students list numbers in order from least to greatest and compare values of numbers. They are using the Texas TEKS 6.2(B) and 6.2(C). 6.2B: Identify a number, its opposite, and its absolute value, 6.2(C): Locate, compare, and order integers and rational numbers using a number line. Even though these are 6th grade TEKS, they are great review for 7th and 8th grade math students.
