Every year on the first day of school, I have a party for my students. I bring in balloons, confetti, and treats to kick off “The Greatest School Year Ever”! I believe it sets the tone for the school year and gets students really excited to be in their new classroom. I plan to have treat bags filled with the bookmarks, homework passes, and balloon or circle toppers adhered to a pencil (you could also use a Crazy Straw or a Pixy Stix instead) and a granola bar ready to go for our Greatest School Year Ever party. The treat bag toppers fit a 4 x 6 or 4 x 9 treat bag perfectly. I buy the cellophane ones at Michael’s or Joann’s.
There are several back to school activities included as well:
-A Paper Bag Scrapbook with a variety of pages with boys and girls so you can decide which you would like to print.
-A Kid Grid project that students use a baseball card holder to decorate to symbolize what they like.
-A Find Someone Who
-The ABC's of Me
-An All About Me Poster to fill out and decorate.
Also Included in This File:
-Welcome Sign- Post on your door to welcome students!
-Name Badges- Print onto 8 1/2 x 11 sticker paper and cut out. Students can write their names on them to wear on the first day of school.
-Greatest School Year Ever Notes- You can send them in the mail prior to school starting, add them to the treat bags, or place them on desks on the first day of school.
I hope the items included in this file help kick start the greatest school year ever for you!
