Being organized when the parents come in for registration or open house can be a life saver.
One thing I do is take all of the papers that parents need to fill out, and I place a stop sign on them with a note asking the parents to stop and fill the papers out. I then place a green light on the ones that can go home with the parents.
This little method is much cheaper than buying a pocket folder for each child's paperwork, which is what lots of teachers do.
